The iconic black sheep jumper was first designed by Joanna Osborne and Sally Muir for their label, Warm & Wonderful. 1979. They started selling in a market stall in Covent Garden, but were skyrocketed to fame in the early 1980's when Lady Di was spotted wearing their British Knitwear. Especially this red sweater with white sheep and one black sheep became very populair after being famously worn by Princess Diana in the early 1980s. Lady Di always had incredible style and was known for telling a story with her fashion choices.
In 2020, the brand Rowing Blazers worked with the original designers, Joanna Osborne and Sally Muir to recreate the sweater and make them available for sale again. British knitwear at it's finest!
This sweater is a handmade copy of the famous design, it is a slightly chunkier knit than the original and the placement of the iconic black sheep is a little diffrent. We love how someone gave it their personal touch when making this beautiful piece!
